E. Film Craft
Partner of the contest
Entry can submit studios, video and audio production houses, ad agencies and clients as well as individual experts in the following nominations: directors, cameramen, editors, etc. This contest rewards ads professionals.
Standards of judgement
Jury evaluate ad craft, shown in the process of creating an advertising film, for example, quality of direction, copywriting and editing, the skillful use of music and sound design, depending on the category in which the work submitted. Jury doesn’t judge creative idea of the TV commercial.
If spot or a TV commercial created a pleasant and memorable aesthetic sense, regardless of topic, product, customer or ideas, they can succeed in the category of Craft, even if not received awards in other competitions.
Contest categories
E-1. Production
Creation and integration of unique visual elements, regardless of whether they met while shooting or in post-production. Expose the work and appear on the diploma: supervisor, director, cameraman, post-production, production, agency, client.
E-2. Direction
Directing the use of audiovisual elements: set design, casting, lokeyshna, Art Direction, Sound, style and cinematography. Expose the work and appear on the diploma: the director, production, agency, client.
E-3. Cinematic
The unique visual style that complements the concept. May include Table Top. Expose the work and appear on the diploma: the director, cameraman, production, agency, client
E-4. Assembly
Contribution to the editor and the general tone of the effectiveness of the roller. Expose the work and appear on the diploma: editor, director, post-production, production, agency, client.
E-5. Copywriting
Craft of the writer, the originality of concept and language. Expose the work and appear on the diploma: author of the idea, copywriter, agency, client.
E-6. Music and sound design
The original score, jingle and / or musical accompaniment, a unique creative arrangement or adaptation of existing pieces of music. Inventive and artistic use of sound effects, voice or other elements that enhance visual images. Expose the work and appear on the diploma: sound designer, composer, sound-production, production, agency, client.
E-7. Special effects and computer graphics
Creation and integration of unique visual elements, regardless of whether they met while shooting or in post-production. Expose the work and appear on the diploma: supervisor, director, cameraman, post-production, production, agency, client.
E-8. Animation
Execution and the use of all types of animation: drawing, dolls, plasticine, flash, etc. Expose the work and appear on the diploma: artist, animation director, post-production, production, agency, client.
E-9. Acting / Dialogue or monologue
Casting and directing the actor in a role that requires a conversation in the frame. Expose the work and appear on the diploma: Lead Actor, director and casting studio, production, agency, client.
E-10. Humor
The use of comic texts and visual effects. Expose the work and appear on the diploma: author of the idea, director, production, agency, client.
Entry requirements
All entries should include English subtitles.
Entry could submit in 2 formats:
- -MPEG-1, frame size - 320x240, max size - 15 MB. The files are attached directly on this site.
- MPEG-2 frame size - 720x576, a data stream (br) - not below 8 Mbps. The file name should contain the code category of the contest and the name of the entry. These files are downloaded to the KIAF’s e-Disc after filling entry. Access to e-Disc will be sent directly from KIAF site (see below the list of completed applications).
