CAREER SUMMARY:
- October, 2010 to date: Creative Director at DDB Worldwide Latvia – the leading and most respected creative agency in Latvia 2009
- March, 2010 to October, 2010: Senior Art Director at BBDO Moscow – the leading and most respected creative agency in Russia 2009, part of BBDO Russia Group
- March, 2010 to October, 2010: Creative Director/ Manager at BBDO Bespredel – a virtual creative hub for digital and unconventional initiatives at BBDO Russia Group
- April, 2007 to March, 2010: Founder/ Owner/ Creative/ Only Full-time Employee at FUSE – a joint venture between Gatis Murnieks and Omnicom Media Group Latvia
- In 2007 after graduating college I decided to fuse features of creative, digital and media agencies in Latvia to form an innovative project for the local market with a symbolic name – FUSE.
PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS:
- Art Director’s Club Adwards, 2010: Best Campaign, Best Guerrilla Campaign
- Art Director’s Club Adwards, 2008: Best Outdoor, Best Media Innovation
- Golden Hammer (International Advertising Festival in the Baltic region), 2007-2009: 2 Golden Hammers, 4 Silver Hammers and the Media Folder (Best Agency of the Year)
- British Council and Creative Economy, International Young Creative Entrepreneurs 2009: Winner in Latvia
- JCDecaux Outdoor Advertising Awards, 2008: Best Innovation, Best Local Design
- Passwords (Baltic Advertising Festival, based on EFFIES Principles), 2009: Idea Generator of the Year Award
- Giving free lectures in the leading universities (such as Stockholm School of Economics) and other student institutions on innovation and it’s use in marketing and communications
- Representing Latvia in international competitions such as British Council’s IYXE09 and programs for young creatives like Swedish Institute’s Creative Leaders
